Getting a tattoo will never not be on our minds and by the looks of it, the same goes for our favorite celebs and influencers. We're always intrigued by the meanings behind some of their tattoos, but we've also been wondering where they go to get them done.
With tons of tattoo artists sprawling the country, you could book an appointment almost anywhere. If you're contemplating getting new designs etched on your skin, and want to try out the parlors your favorite artists frequent, then read on for 5 spots we've spotted them at.
5 celeb-approved tattoo parlors to hit up for your next ink
1. 55 Tinta
Arguably one of the most well-known tattoo and piercing franchises in the country, 55 Tinta is a go-to for the most intricate body art, no matter the color or size. It's where Olympian Hidilyn Diaz went to commemorate her historic 1st place finish with a fitting arm tattoo. Aside from that, they're also the ones responsible for the ornate piercings we've spotted on the likes of Kathryn Bernardo and Heart Evangelista.
Other stars who've hit them up include the perpetually fresh Nadine Lustre and Jodi Sta. Maria. You can also get tatted from them at their branches in Maginhawa, Makati, and even the surfing haven of La Union. Head on over to their Facebook or Instagram to book an appointment.
2. Arte Tattoo
If minimalist, low-key ink is on your mind, then Arte Tattoo is the place to be. They have a slew of skilled tattoo artists to choose from, plus they now accept walk-ins at their Poblacion branch (you just need to present a vaccination card and valid ID). Outside the metro, you can also book an appointment at their San Fernando, Pampanga parlor.
Arte seems to be the spot where all the cool girls head to for their tatts. Case in point: Chie Filomeno who got a dainty red heart on her wrist, plus a small "armo fati" script on her back, and Angel Dei who had a sultry floral drawing etched down her arm. Go ahead and hit them up on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
3. Empire Tattoo
This upside-down "my everything" tattoo on Coleen Garcia is as dainty as it is cool, and it's thanks to the proficient artists based at Empire Tattoo in Fisher Mall, Quezon City.
All of their work is proudly a collaborative effort between their artists and the their clientele, which also include Yen Santos and Moira Dela Torre. Operating on all days of the week, you can also have the Empire experience by messaging them through their Viber account, which you can find on their Instagram or Facebook pages.
4. Redeemed Tattoo
For the Bisaya people out there, Redeemed Tattoo is the celeb-approved spot to head to. Located inside Marison Condominium in the middle of Cebu City, they offer sophisticated tattoo and piercing services for all their customers. Just check out the eye-catching designs they did for Olympic skater and instant internet star Margielyn Didal!
Another Cebuana they've recently worked their magic on is our latest Miss Universe delegate, Bea Gomez. Her armband tattoo is already iconic, and during her brief trip back home, she passed by Redeemed's studio and got some more cool ink imprinted, this time on her fingers. If you ever find yourself in the Queen City of the South, you know where to go for some cool tatts. Learn more about them on their website.
5. Whiplash Tattoo
For celebs who live south of the metro, Whiplash Tattoo is the best place to get some intricate body art done. They can be found in BF Homes, Paranaque, and they operate on a strictly by appointment basis through Viber (their number is on their Instagram and Facebook accounts.)
Some of their star-studded clientele include stars such as Winwyn Marquez and Sofia Andres. After you get your tat done, you can take a celebratory shot by their Instagrammable brick wall holding up their shop name in neon lights.
