Chie Filomeno has always been a "fitspiration", what with her effortless beach outfits and stunning off-duty hubadera style. In a recent interview, she talked about flaunting her body in her latest series Beach Bros, where she’s required to wear skimpy clothing as part of her sexy role.

Showcasing body positivity, she shares an empowering message, “May investment yung pagsusuot ko ng swimsuit kasi I love my body and I want to empower women also with the same body type. Kasi ang daming payatin din sa atin, flat-chested, ganun. Gusto ko lang sabihin sa kanila na wear whatever you want, ikaw ang bumili niyan, nag-workout ka, pinaghirapan mo yan, ipakita mo ang gusto mo ipakita. No judging.” 

She added, “You know yourself better than anyone and pagod na pinagdaanan mo and as long as you know that your body is healthy, your mind is healthy, and also your soul, yun lang talaga eh. Kahit anong suotin ko diyan, may sasabihin at sasabihin ang tao eh. So pasok lang dito tapos labas na dito.”

Chie also revealed that getting her “dream body” isn’t an overnight process. And for her, there’s certainly no one-size-fits-all approach to losing weight. “I give my body what it needs. Hindi ko dini-deprive yung body ko kasi hindi ako naniniwala sa diet na you have to starve yourself. Iba-iba kasi tayo ng katawan. Iba iba din yung kailangan ng katawan natin so kailangan talaga natin alamin kung ano yung kailangan ng katawan natin.

At one point, she even fell victim to fad diets. “Kasi dumaan ako sa tubig lang yung iniinom ko, yung mga ganun. Yung mga diet na hindi naman nag-wo-work sa akin. Ang daming diet diyan.”

In the end, what truly worked for her is regularly exercising and maintaining a healthy routine. “Ang nag-work sa akin yung kailangan talaga yung masipag. Hindi naman ako gumising na ganito na yung katawan ko. Talagang we work hard for it. Kakain tapos mag-wo-workout tapos kakain. Ganun talaga ako. Workout talaga and sumasayaw din ako. I think yun yung cardio ko. Kasi ayoko talaga pumayat, gusto ko magka-muscle. So weights and palakas,” she explained.
