It's never too early to start!

Age-defying skincare is not limited to battling deep fine lines. As early as your twenties, you should already start slowing down your skin's clock. Here are some steps to help you get started:

1. Cleanse

Our skin's self-renewing process tends to slow down as we age, making it easier for dirt and other impurities to irritate it. Thankfully, you can combat this by upping your cleansing game. Learn how to double-cleanse or invest in a cleansing tool that'll help you get deeper into those pores!

2. Exfoliate

Exfoliating sloughs off dead skin cells to reveal smoother and youthful-looking skin, so it's important for you not to skip it. The older we get, the more we need to exfoliate, so choose the method that works best for your skin type (physical or chemical exfoliation) and do it regularly to avoid buildup.

3. Treat

Again, preventing signs of aging is easier than getting rid of them. Incorporating either a treatment essence or anti-aging serum into your routine as early as in your 20s will train your skin to become more resilient, or even diminish the first batch of wrinkles that has already formed.

4. Moisturize

Most signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles are caused by lack of hydration, so always moisturize religiously to keep your skin plump and smooth. Don't forget your neck and hands, too!

5. Sun Protect

Sun damage can have a huge impact on how fast your skin ages, so if you didn't wear sunscreen in your teens, it's time to be vigilant against harmful UV rays now. Try not to step out without wearing a minimum of SPF 15!

6. Eye Treatment

Our eye area tends to be drier than the rest of our face, meaning it needs more TLC when it comes to hydration. Make an eye cream the last step of your skincare routine to keep those fine lines at bay.
