ICYDK, Pinay actress Andrea Brillantes finally turned 18 on March 12 and to commemorate her coming of age, she didânot oneâbut two pre-debut photoshoots! Each photoshoot had its own concept, and Andrea talked about them in detailÂduring a BTS vlog recently published on her YouTube channel.
The first shoot was inspired by The Birth of Venus painting of Sandro Botticelli. For that shoot, Andrea stepped out of her comfort zone (as far as hairstyle is concerned) and wore a long auburn-colored wig. At first, she thought she wouldn't be able to pull it off, but she did, and the results look amazing.

Aside from the wig, Andrea also had to brave the cold because her shoot involved stepping into a small pool of water for added effect. Check out the photos, shot by Charisma Lico:

For Day 2 of her pre-debut shoot, Andrea went for a simpler concept. She wore a white tank top paired with jeans for one look and a chic LBD for her second layout. The makeup was also a pared-back look compared to her first shoot, the highlight of which would probably be the red lipstick, which actually has a significant meaning for Blythe's coming of age.
Apparently, it all goes back to an old conversation Andrea had with her mom about when she'd finally be allowed to wear the bold lipstick shade. Talking to her mom in her vlog, Andrea explains, "Kasi 'di ba, dati lagi kong tinatanong kung kailan na ako puwede mag red lipstick? Sabi mo 'pag 18 [years old] na 'ko." And since the shoot is for her 18th birthday, puwede nang mag-red lipstick! What a fitting way to commemorate her 18th birthday.
