Last December, Vice Ganda rolled out the red carpet for the UnkabogaBall 2021, a grand get-together between different show biz personalities and content creators from the LGBTQIA+ community. Being the host of the event, Vice, of course, shut the house down with her looks.

Her first outfit of the evening was a total show-stopper. Designed by Jaggy Glarino, the superstar donned a high-slit silver gown that was adorned with glistening paillettes from head-to-toeand we mean that literally!

The focal piece of the look was a balaclava mask that melted right into the rest of her look. The fact that we could only see Vice's shimmery purple eyelids made everything all the more captivating.

This ensemble was a departure from what we usually see the comedienne in, yet, at the same time, it was a statement-maker that we would totally expect from her! In an exclusive interview, Jaggy tells Preview that, "Vice is always hands on. She is adept with her personal fashion preferences, and that always makes [the job of] the stylist and I particularly easier, to be honest."

He shares that the frock's futuristic motif was derived from "Paco Rabanne's chainmail dress [that referenced] a retro asethetic reminiscient of Fritz Lang's Metropolis in the 1920s."

Metallic paillettes and glass beads were handsewn on a heavy sequin base, creating a dynamic appearance every time Vice took a step. In Jaggy's words, it was a "beautiful dimensional play of the metallic tone and the movement of the material around the body."

It may be a surprise to some that such a stunning creation only took two weeks to put together, considering all the appliques were attached by hand. "It was a long and tedious process since we went back and forth with these ideas," the designer recalls, "we [had] at least five other options in mind, and it took Vice a little while to finally give the concept a go."

Considering the outcome of the dress, it's safe to say everything was worth it. Jaggy, along with the celebrity's go-to stylist, Aaron Mangsat, certainly achieved the "high impact look" they wanted for Vice. Bravo!
