TUMI’s "Mediterranean Escape" Collection Makes the Case for Slow Travel
Inspired by the warmth and rhythm of the Mediterranean coast, TUMI’s Spring 2026 collection introduces destination-themed colors, textures, and silhouettes designed for today’s traveler.
Travel used to feel more romantic. Before every trip became content, there was something softer about the experience of leaving home. Travel wasn’t just about arriving somewhere. It was about atmosphere, discovery, and the small sensory details you remembered long after the flight back.
TUMI’s new Spring 2026 campaign, “Mediterranean Escape,” taps directly into that mood.
The idea of “slow travel”—the growing cultural shift toward more intentional, immersive experiences instead of fast-paced consumption—is less about excess and more about ease.
TUMI’s SS26 Mediterranean Escape Collection
Set in Mallorca, Spain, the campaign introduces destination-inspired colors, textures, and prints across some of TUMI’s most recognizable silhouettes. Think thyme greens, washed terracotta, sunlit yellow, and Horizon Blue—a shade inspired by where the sky meets the sea.
But beyond the color palette, the collection’s appeal lies in how it approaches travel itself.
Rather than focusing purely on performance, “Mediterranean Escape” leans into emotion and sensory experience. Raffia-inspired woven textures appear throughout the Olas and Harrison collections, while olive-, floral-, and lemon-inspired charms reference Mediterranean markets and coastal living.

Even the new Mediterranean Print feels intentionally more relaxed and playful compared to the sleek minimalism often associated with travel accessories.
TUMI Creative Director Victor Sanz described the collection as inspired by “a slower, more intentional rhythm of travel,” in which memories are shaped by texture, scent, atmosphere, and movement.
TUMI and the Modern Traveler
Since 1975, TUMI has built its reputation around creating travel and lifestyle essentials that combine functionality with elevated design. Over the years, the brand has become particularly known for pieces that prioritize durability, organization, and performance while maintaining a polished aesthetic.
That balance remains evident in the “Mediterranean Escape” collection.
At the center of the launch is the 19 Degree collection, one of TUMI’s most recognizable lines, updated this season with destination-inspired hues such as Thyme, Washed Yellow, Pink Clay, and Horizon Blue. The sculptural polycarbonate luggage continues to emphasize lightweight durability and mobility, while the new Front Access designs introduce a zip-entry compartment intended to make packing and access more convenient during travel.
Beyond hard-case luggage, the collection also expands into lifestyle and everyday travel pieces. The Voyageur Q Tote, for instance, is designed to transition seamlessly between daily use and travel, while the woven capsule introduces raffia-inspired textures across silhouettes like the Milos Woven Tote and Bradner Backpack.
The campaign also reflects how travel accessories have evolved alongside modern travel culture itself. Today’s consumers are looking for products that can move fluidly between work, leisure, and travel while still feeling visually distinct and versatile enough for everyday life.
With “Mediterranean Escape,” TUMI leans further into that intersection of performance and lifestyle—offering pieces designed not just for movement, but for the way people travel today.
The “Mediterranean Escape” collection is now available at TUMI Philippines and in select TUMI boutiques nationwide, including Greenbelt 5 in Makati and Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong. The brand is also available through select Rustan’s locations across the country.
