We can only hope to look as jaw-dropping fantastic as model Mercy Brewer when we hit the age of 57. New Zealand-based label Lonely Lingerie seems to agree, casting the beauty to star in their latest campaign!

"I believe we are in a moment in time where older women's beauty has been a startling revelation. If we don't recognize it, we, every one of us, deny ourselves a future to look forward to," Mercy says in an interview with Stuff.

Lonely's co-founder and designer Helene Morris concurs. "The beauty and fashion industries are so obsessed with youth, but the reality is we are all aging, and there are so many wonderful things about growing older. So often the primary message around age is intervention, which is a frustrating response to such a natural, inevitable process."

Known to have a history of using models that are less represented in mainstream media—transgender model Aurel Haize Odogbo, for example—Lonely also has an ongoing project photographing women wearing their lingerie in the comfort and normalcy of their own homes. Check it out here!

Let's focus on Mercy, though. She's been modeling since the 1980s and is clearly a seasoned pro, but in our humble opinion, she's never looked better—the very definition of graceful aging.

"At Lonely, we feel that it is important to challenge what we see in our media with a more authentic reflection of beauty and hope to grow people's visual vocabulary," Helene continues. We couldn't agree more! Here's to celebrating the beauty of older women.
