Doesn't it seem like everyone's getting married lately? While watching your friends exchange vows and dance the night away with the rest of the guests is all good fun, having to cough up thousands of pesos for a new outfit every time there's a special ocassion can take a toll on your bank account. In the argument of practicality, there are always rentals—and in that business, offbeat designer pieces are what rental service The QR Manila provides.
"The QR was conceived after a realization that some brands and their collections are hard to come by here in Manila and ordering new clothes from local online retailers take two to seven days, and sometimes even 30 days for international ones," says QR founder and owner Ela.
The growing collection of rentals include interesting patterns from Zimmermann, intricate dresses from Australian label Thurley, and cut-out silhouettes from Self-Portrait.
"I'd like people to think of The QR as having a fashionable assistant they can DM at 11:30 p.m.to provide a business suit the next morning or a personal stylist they can text at 4:00 p.m. to deliver them a party dress in two hours," she continues.
Many of the ensembles come in reasonable price points, ranging from P400 to P8000, depending on the brand and the style.
