The 38-year-old actress also participated in a written interview with the magazine and talked about her two upcoming dramas: Now, We Are Breaking Up (NWABU) and The Glory. Hye Kyo reveals that NWABU is a melodrama that might garner opposite reactions from audiences. When asked why she’s doing melodrama again this time around, her response was somewhat practical. “I did melodrama in my 20s and 30s, and up to now, my exterior and interior are changing. I feel fine in the parts I express through acting. I think it will be different at least.”

Her character, Ha Young-eun takes an active and powerful approach to love and work. “I thought a lot about wanting to play the character Ha Young-eun in a different way.” The concept of her Vogue Korea cover shoot beautifully aligns with her latest role, since she’ll be playing a leader of a design team of a fashion company. Much like the styling and images in this cover shoot, Ha Young-eun will be a very “sophisticated and trendy character” with a “basic and minimalistic” image.
