In a world currently dominated by micro-trends, it’s rare for any one item to endure. Yet silk scarves remain a timeless exception—an accessory that has long cemented its place in fashion. Though hardly new (Hollywood icons of the 1940s popularized these luxurious accents), they continue to make a powerful return in modern wardrobes, evolving with the times while retaining their classic appeal.

Silk Scarves

They’re classics for a reason. Silk is gentle and delicate in a way few fabrics can match, lending a natural sheen to every scarf. Add to that their versatility—an effortless way to elevate any outfit—and it’s no wonder these accessories have endured for decades. And while their essence remains unchanged, silk scarves continue to evolve through innovative reinventions.

Case in point: Celine’s recent Spring/Summer 2026 presentation. Brian Molloy, the House’s longtime stylist, embraced bold accessorizing by incorporating printed scarves. Draped with purpose, they introduced fluidity and softness to the collection’s otherwise structured silhouettes, including boxy coats and sharp tailoring.

The popular style was one thing that guests did not skip on. Thailand’s Earn Muien attended the show in a simply sophisticated outfit, with a scarf knotted on the strap of her bag.

Global Ambassador Kim Taehyung, also known as V of BTS, added his own flair to the trend by tying the accessory around his waist. On other nights, he entangled it on a single belt loop.

Dries Van Noten is another high-fashion house that reintroduced silk scarves on the runway. In their Autumn/Winter 2025–2026 menswear collection, the accessory appeared in varying sizes and, in turn, in a range of styles. From neckties to sarong-inspired wraps, scarves proved their versatility once again, claiming their place in every well-dressed wardrobe.

How to Style a Silk Scarf, According to Filipina Celebrities
The Philippines never misses a trend, does it? Many Filipina celebrities have showcased the versatility of silk scarves. Read on to see the different ways you can style them.
Use it as a triangle bandana.
Traditional Filipino outfits are no stranger to triangle bandanas. Claudia Barretto demonstrates a modern take on this, styling it with a button-down sleeveless vest and a pair of high-waisted trousers.

Gabbi Garcia utilized the silk scarf as a pop of color to her casual outfit. With her tinted sunnies and noir ensemble, the multi-colored Louis Vuitton bandana brought a fresh, youthful, and summer touch.

Wear it as a top.
Channel your creativity (and your tight knotting skills) by wearing a scarf as a top. Rei Germar opted for a strapless neckline, making for a breezy piece that’s fit for a tropical country.

Layer it over a cap.
Cool as she is, Sheena Catacutan of BINI brought a streetwear flair to the elegant accessory. Decked out in a denim-on-denim ensemble, complete with a cropped tank top and a chunky bomber jacket, she added the final touch of a baseball cap enveloped in a silk scarf.

Style it as a head wrap.

This is just like the previous styling tip, but without the cap. Pia Wurtzbach Jauncey showcases how to wear the silk scarf as a hood, with a tropical twist. Wearing an asymmetrical dress with a high slit, the round scarf restored softness to the structured outfit.

Issa Pressman also uses the versatile accessory, but keeps the knot at the back of her head. Just like her signature style, it has a more bohemian yet edgy flair. Issa opted for a brown hue that complements the other elements of her OOTD, such as her skirt, her bag, and her boots.

This is a style loved by Angelique Manto, too. In classic black-and-white polkadots, her silk scarf was responsible for the dash of femininity present in her streetwear-inspired denim-on-denim look.

Tie it as a twilly.
Bags can wear “clothes,” too! Jessy Mendiola decorated the handle of her black Hermès Kelly Mini with a red and pink scarf. It’s an adorable and subtle touch of color that added dimension to her neutral OOTD.

Utilize it as a hair tie.
Fierce in all red—and in all Gucci, no less—Anne Curtis donned the Gucci Bamboo 1947 and the House’s double-breasted leather coat. With her hair slicked back in a neat bun, she added a long printed scarf around it. Needless to say, it was an ingenious take on a makeshift ponytail.

Let it keep your neck warm.
While a silk scarf is a highly flexible accessory, there’s nothing wrong with using it for what it is. Max Collins tied the accessory around her neck. Her print and color scheme of choice went perfectly well with her yellow bodycon dress and her oval tort sunnies.

Turn it into a belt.

The accessory can be used to accentuate your figure, as shown by Elisse Joson. She donned a flattering dress and tied a silk scarf right below her waist, bringing out the best of her proportions (and easily elevating the simple look!).
