Filipino fashion design is making waves across international red carpets! The South Korea-based 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards is one prime example, as Korean actresses Shin Ye Eun and Jeo Yeo Been were spotted in original creations from the celebrated Filipina designer Monique Lhuillier.

In a picture of artistry, The Glory actress Shin Ye Eun was a sparkling vision on the red carpet, wearing a shimmering piece from Monique Lhuillier. The star opted for a voluminous ball gown for her appearance of the night, a creation intricately detailed with beaded and sequin embellishments throughout its form.

The billowing piece made for the perfect award show regalia, as Ye Eun bagged the night’s Best New Actress award for her role in Revenge of Others. Based on the luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman, owning the gown will set you back at least P491,158!

Meanwhile, Best Actress nominee Jeon Yeo Been also recruited the renowned Cebu-born fashion designer for her red carpet look. The Vincenzo and Glitch lead star slipped on a column gown from Monique's Spring 2023 ready-to-wear collection, marked by its off-the-shoulder collar and cameo-colored sequins. According to the official website, the gown is currently priced at P256,500.

However, this isn’t the first time that a Korean star sported a creation from Monique. During the same award show last year, Goblin’s Kim Go Eun received the Best Actress award wearing an original from the same designer, while Park Shin Hye even wore a Monique piece for her bridal photoshoot. So cool!
