Seo Ye Ji never fails to enthrall us on our current K-drama fave, It's Okay to Not Be Okay. She’s worn so many breathtaking outfits, and we all know how much she loves donning designer pieces from head to toe—so much so that even her pambahay looks are designer.
Well, amid the bevy of luxury brands she’s sported so far, it seems that her favorite is a local one who also hails from South Korea, and it’s none other than Minju Kim. Sounds familiar? Yup, we’re talking about Minju Kim, the winner of Netflix’s biggest fashion design competition, Next in Fashion.

Ko Mun-yeong's obsession with this brand comes as no surprise though, as Minju Kim’s designs are known for their whimsical, playful aesthetic that echoes the story books written by her character. Check out the four times she flaunted the fun brand on the show:
1. A dramatic puff sleeve blouse

Mun-yeong loves bold ensembles and is often seen wearing vibrant or deep hues. However, on her first day of her fairytale class, she opted to tone it down a little via softer colors. She chose MINJUKIM’s Puffy Sleeve Jacket in fresh beige that was still showstopping—just look at the volume on those modern leg-of-mutton sleeves! We love how she emphasized the top’s dramatic shape with a tan leather obi belt.
2. Pretty pink coords

Remember Episode 6 when our jaws simultaneously fell on the floor upon seeing Seo Ye Ji’s itty bitty waist? Well, she was wearing MINJUKIM during this unforgettable moment. The candy pink coordinates include a cropped buttoned blouse in subtle puff sleeves and a high-waisted pleated skirt that cinches the waist, making her appear svelte and lean. Mun-yeong is obviously making a case for how enduring the puff sleeve trend can be. (FYI, Alexa Chung wore this exact outfit earlier this year!)

3. Sheer tiered dress

Perhaps as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the female characters in her fairy tales, Mun-yeong donned a princessy pink frock from MINJUKIM as a nightgown, and honestly, it’s even better than those in story books. With tiers, billowy sleeves, and a pleated neckline, this MINJUKIM piece is the stuff of dreams.
4. Printed day dress

In Episode 9, we couldn’t help but laugh when Moon Gang-tae (Kim Soo Hyun) asked the fashown Mun-yeong to “dress normal” upon seeing her in a black and white dress with matching oversized brim hat. We also couldn’t help but marvel at how overtly chic and sophisticated this “vacation look” is. With a voluminous skirt, spaghetti straps, and an accent bow at the back, it’s practically every fashion girl’s ideal summer dress. Staying true to her bold extravagant style, Mun-yeong completed the look with Bvlgari diamond earrings and crystal-embellished Aquazurra heels.
At this rate, we wouldn't be surprised if Seo Ye Ji will be wearing more MINJUKIM outfits in the next episodes! The brand just perfectly matches her bold and playful style.
