Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel is no stranger to bold outfit choices. From her backless winning dress by Rian Fernandez that featured cut-outs, fringe, and studs, to a "tahong" dress of her own design in New York Fashion Week, you can always count on the Filipino-American beauty queen to make a fashion statement.
Her latest trip to Ilocos Norte proves to be no different as she donned a "floor mat" dress against the stunning backdrop of the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. As what the model captioned, "floor mats but make it fashion."

R'Bonney Gabriel Wears a "Floor Mat Dress" in Ilocos
With her hair slicked back and her makeup kept to a minimum, all eyes are instantly drawn to R'Bonney's woven dress by P.S. Label. Fastened in place by ties, two cuts of fabric are strategically draped and minimally sculpted by designer Jilliane Santos for a one-of-a-kind frock made from upcycled cloth. And, no, it wouldn't be wrong to say that it's reminiscent of floor mats. According to the brand's Instagram, this look "reimagines discarded textiles, traditionally used as floor mats, into a sculptural garment."
Styled by Steven Coralde and Geno Espidol of Qurator Studio, gold sandals completed the look, as well as a lone, drop earring combination of wood, beads, and shell from Zara.

For this stunning set of images, R'Bonney and her team made the hike to the northwestern tip of Burgos, Ilocos Norte to capture the beauty queen in the picturesque Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. The shoot exuded an other-worldly vibe as the 31-year-old fashion designer non-chalantly smized at photographer Air Jimenez while posing by the massive, creamy-white limestones.
