Only two months to go before our very own Miss Philippines competes at this year's most awaited beauty pageant!

Let the countdown begin! Only two months left before we witness the global stage for Miss Universe pageant once again, and if these new photos are any indication, then it looks like our very own Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo is all set and ready to make a splash.

The Miss Universe Philippines organization took to Facebook to upload a new set of pictures featuring Rabiya clad in swimsuit, effectively hyping up the country for the upcoming competition. Photographed by Seven Barretto and styled by Mikee Andrei, the images show the 24-year-old beauty queen looking svelte and posing in a caramel-hued latex maillot by local fashion designer Bessie Besana. The caption reads, "Only two months to go, universe! Here's a splash to set your summer on fire."

The now-viral post has since garnered over 36K shares, 103K reactions, and 4.6K comments as of writing.

Rabiya Mateo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines on October 25, 2020. Besting over 40 other candidates, she represented Miss Iloilo and took home the title with her winning answer in the Q&A round: "As a candidate, I know I am not just the face of Iloilo City but I am here carrying hope and as a symbol of light in the darkest times. And as of the moment, I want to help my community, I want to use my strength to make an impact and that is the essence of beauty pageants. It gives us power to make a difference."
