The hobo bag is currently reveling in a prolonged resurgence. First popularized as practical carriers during the boho movement in the '70s, and later becoming the tote du jour come the early aughts, the silhouette has officially become a go-to for many stylistas.
Almost halfway through 2026, and it seems that hobos will continue to dominate the streets and runways alike. For gents with sartorial proclivities, a redux of the hobo is an attractive new addition, and it's all thanks to Prada. The Explore bag has entered the group chat.

For the Spring/Summer 2026 season, Prada returned to form, showcasing new styles and visions that harked back to its utilitarian DNA. Both the men's and women's collections featured pieces that were closely modeled on the functions they were meant to serve. If the ladies had the bountiful pockets of the Route bag, gents were offered the capacious qualities of the Explore bag.
The Explore is as straightforward as they get. Infused with several of Prada's distinct codes, which include twin pockets and pristine hardware, the piece is an elevated take on the hobo shape. As the maison proudly states, "the Explore captures a utilitarian essence, blending bold refinement with experimental yet timeless design." What you see is what you get, and that's all you could ask for with such a bag.
How Much the Prada Explore Bag Costs
The Explore, much like the endless possibilities suggested by its name, actually comes in numerous configurations.
The most popular is the large shoulder bag style, which measures 22 cm in height, 32 cm in width, and 11.5 cm in length, and can house most, if not all, of one's essentials. Meanwhile, the medium iteration measures 14 cm in height, 30 cm in width, and 10 cm in length, and is a more compact companion for errand runs or nights out.
The hobo shape is also remastered in myriad ways, be it in hue, fabrication, or the addition of a flap pocket or an elongated handle. Price points range from P150,000 to P250,000. Much of the mark-up comes from the use of supple nappa leather, which can be substituted for re-nylon fabric that Prada has patented.
