On Sunday evening, April 21, Dubai’s EMIGALA 2024 Fashion & Beauty Awards announced Pia Wurtzbach as this year’s recipient of the Global Fashion Influencer of the Year Award! Now on its fourth run, the awards ceremony is a celebration of the ingenuity and creativity of global personalities and brands in the fashion and beauty industry.

Historically, past recipients of the EMIGALA's prestigious awards included internationally acclaimed Filipino designers Michael Cinco and Furne Amato. In 2021, Michael was honored as the Fashion Designer of the Year, one of the top accolades from the award-giving organization. In the same year, Furne—the Cebuano designer best remembered for creating Rabiya Mateo's evening gowns at Miss Universe 2020—took home the International Fashion Designer of the Year and Fashion Innovator award.
This year, the prestigious awards ceremony will span two days, from April 27 to 28, hosted at the Festival Bay within Dubai’s Festival City Mall. The opening day will feature an inaugural ceremony and panel discussion with this year's distinguished honorees, including Fan Bingbing, China's highest-paid actress. The second day will commence with a red carpet event at 6 p.m. (Dubai time), followed by the main award ceremony at 8 p.m. Live broadcasts will be available across Dubai's regional television networks.
