Fitness is finding its way into everyday life more naturally than ever. Coffee breaks have become coffee runs, and courts and tracks are increasingly doubling as meet-up spots for families and friend groups. The line between working out and hanging out is getting blurrier by the day—a shift that Penshoppe has clearly noticed!
Penshoppe Play to Launch in March 2026
Mark your calendars, because Penshoppe’s first activewear line is coming sooner than you think.
Penshoppe Play, the homegrown brand’s take on activewear, will hit the stores in March 2026. Being centered on everyday movement, ease, and enjoyment, it utilizes fashion as an invitation to find happiness in fitness.

“We've actually been doing prototyping and development for a longer time, but we wanted to make sure that we found the right fabric, so we did a lot of research before releasing something to the market,” said Penshoppe’s Vice President, Brandon Liu. “And generally, I think you see it also with how people, especially our customers, are more health-conscious. It's about time [that] we also adapt and provide that.”
Penshoppe Play was built on the philosophy that activewear shouldn’t be focused solely on performance. After all, your comfort and your confidence also play a significant role.
Keeping it aligned with Penshoppe’s core, he highlighted, “It's still very stylish, it's very accessible, it's still very affordable.”
Kira Ellis and Elijah Cole As the Faces of Penshoppe Play
Penshoppe marks the milestone by welcoming fresh faces to the family. Philippine national athletes Kira Ellis and Elijah Cole bring a youthful yet grounded energy to Penshoppe Play. Beyond their personal sense of style, Brandon shared that the brand was drawn to how both athletes take their sports seriously while still finding joy in the process.
Elijah, who secured a podium finish in pole vault at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) alongside EJ Obiena, acknowledged that sports can sometimes feel “too aggressive” or “too much.” Because of this, he gravitates toward a more casual style—one that helps him feel at ease. “Pole vault is all about being chill and having fun on the runway,” he said. “With the pole, you have to be cool and relaxed. I like the direction that Play is going for.”

These sentiments were echoed by Kira. With much of her focus devoted to sport—as seen in her performance at the 2025 SEA Games, where she clinched gold in both triathlon and aquathlon—she admitted that she’s the type of person who “doesn’t dress up at all.” To her surprise, the new line added a fashionable edge to her usual preference for activewear.
Both athletes also acknowledged how sportswear can feel intimidating at times. Kira pointed out that people often think, “I can’t wear that because it really fits the body type of someone who’s very muscular, very skinny, or has broader shoulders.” With Penshoppe Play, she noted, “Anyone can wear it. And it really looks nice on everyone.”

Elijah echoed this, noting that while they are professional athletes, the collection is equally suited to those who are just beginning their fitness journey or exploring a new hobby. “If you’re just starting, you don’t want to wear what the pros are wearing because that’s just not who you are yet,” he said, underscoring the importance of honoring the process.
Both athletes also shared their appreciation for the collection’s breathable fabrics, soft materials, and wearable color palette—elements that naturally create a sense of ease and positivity, and are inviting enough to encourage anyone to embrace a more active lifestyle.
