Mimiyuuuh Impresses Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway with Her “The Devil Wears Prada”-Inspired Look

In 2006, a movie called The Devil Wears Prada became "a shining beacon of hope" for people all over the world, especially for those in fashion. One of those people was Mimiyuuuh, who recently interviewed Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway for The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour in Japan.

"GRABE! IN THIS LIFETIME, I GOT THE CHANCE TO MEET THESE AMAZING WOMEN OF OUR GENERATION! Excited to share with you my short but sweet interview with these icons," shared Mimiyuuuh, who gleefully posted a photo with the Hollywood actresses on Instagram.

Mimiyuuuh wore a red RUBIO dress inspired by a specific piece and scene from the first film—the James Holt bold red dress that the fictional character designed for the Runway editor Miranda Priestly.

Upon introducing herself, Mimiyuuuh asked, "Do you remember this dress?" Anne was quick to identify it, answering, "It's the James Holt original!" Meryl then gave instant praise, "It looks incredible on you."

Beyond the dress, Anne also noticed Mimiyuuuh's Loewe Black and Red Balloon Heels from the brand's Fall/Winter 2022 collection and described them as "clever shoes."

In the interview clip shared by Mimiyuuuh on her social media, both actresses thanked the LGBTQIA+ community for their contributions to fashion, for keeping the film alive, and for helping make the sequel possible.

Anne also extended grace to her fictional character's friends in the movie, who have oftentimes been viewed as the villains. Finally, Mimiyuuuh tried to ask Meryl to reveal details of the film, specifically regarding Stanley Tucci's character, but the actress laughingly kept mum.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be out in Philippine cinemas on April 29.
