For the second year in a row, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai wowed in a Michael Cinco original for the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.
"The Impalpable Dream of the Butterfly," according to the designer, was inspired by a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. It was entirely embellished in Swarovski crystals and French pailettes, while its three-meter scalloped train was handcrafted for 3000 hours.
Last March, Michael unveiled a grander version of the gown for a Swarovski exhibit. Compared to what Aishwarya wore on the red carpet, the ultra violet garment then had a 20-foot long cape. The train was also attached to the neck in the previous version, whereas the current garment's train extended from the center of the back.
Beautiful work as always, Michael!
