The paddock may be defined by whirring machines and high-stakes energy, but in Formula 1, it often doubles as a runway. Few embody this crossover better than Alexandra Saint Mleux—content creator, art coordinator, model, and partner of Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc—whose elegant looks consistently land on Instagram saves and Pinterest boards. A constant in her race-weekend wardrobe? Meshki.
First spotted wearing the Australian brand at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2023, Alexandra has since gone from fan to muse, with each outing fueling Meshki’s growing fashion moment.
While the collaboration gave the brand a recognizable face, Meshki has actually been around for over a decade. And if you think you haven’t encountered their creations before, chances are you have—Filipino personalities like Liz Uy and Kianna Dy have been spotted wearing the label.
Ahead, discover the brand's humble beginnings—and see why fashionistas can’t seem to get enough!
What is Meshki?
Meshki is an Australia-based fashion brand, and it claims to be designed to make each of its wearers feel confident, ambitious, and unstoppable. The name is Farsi for “black,” an homage to the shared Iranian heritage of its founders, Natalie Khoei and Shadi Kord. They founded the brand in 2013, committed to representing women of all backgrounds, sizes, shapes, and ages.

Every piece is designed and developed in Sydney, with each collection taking up to half a year to fully come about. Today, the romantic silhouettes and versatile nature are embodied by a wide range of apparel, such as dresses, knitwear, swimwear, shoes, and more.
The brand has also launched the Meshki Atelier, which features artisan clothing and a bridal line. Each item embodies Meshki’s design ethos of creating versatile pieces that would help you see the best version of yourself when you look in the mirror.
Meshki’s Beginnings and Expanding Global Presence
Natalie and Shadi were two architecture students from the University of New South Wales. A humble background and an Iranian descent were not the only things they shared; they also bonded over a passion for style backed by substance.
Meshki first began as an Instagram account where its founders would happily share fashion-centric moments that inspired them, from celebrity OOTDs and street style to encouraging quotes. In hindsight, this origin might have propelled their ability to read trends and their commitment to keeping stylish pieces affordable—skills and sensibilities that brought Meshki to where it is today.

Its beginning garnered a following that reflected the same passion, which did not go unnoticed by Natalie and Shadi. They invested $200 apiece as they embarked on a journey towards fashion retail, starting with curating accessories from wholesalers.
2016 was when they finally decided to have their original designs step into the limelight. Meshki launched their first in-house collection, The Elite Collection, which catapulted the brand forward, especially with influential figures like Kylie Jenner being pictured in their pieces that same year.

They celebrated their one decade mark in 2023, where global supermodels like Elsa Hosk and Shanina Shaik graced the occasion. Today, Meshki upholds its commitment to inclusive, accessible, and wearable style, being a global brand that ships to over 190 countries.
