Marian Rivera's beauty knows no bounds. In 2023, PEP.ph reported that the actress' viral TikTok videos have reached the Vietnamese sphere, eliciting admiration from netizens stunned by her looks. This wasn't the first time that Vietnam was enamored by the Kapuso Primetime Queen, as her soap operas from years past have introduced them to her gracefulness.

Fast forward to last October 15, Ho Chi Minh welcomed Marian for a special showcase hosted by luxury bridalwear brand Hacchic Couture. As the vedette of the show, she displayed the essence of beauty that stems from within. In an exclusive interview with Preview, Hacchic Couture founder Tralinh talks about handpicking Marian as an ambassador and why the actress represents the brand best.

"Marian Rivera is widely admired in Vietnam," Tralinh tells Preview matter-of-factly.

According to her, the Filipina has long been a "household name" in their country due to her television dramas that aired decades ago. She clarifies though that Vietnamese audiences fell into Marian's orbit because of her magnetic aura. In Tralinh's words, "[it's not] only her beauty, but the radiance that feels sincere and enduring. It’s the kind of beauty that grows with maturity, [and is] not bound by trends."

She adds that Vietnamese women idolize Marian because her beauty feels "timeless and kind," one that perfectly reflects a peaceful and graceful state. Such was witnessed by show-goers to the Lunar Fracture Fashion Show when the actress arrived on the slate blue carpet. She was a vision of elegance in a strapless ivory gown beaded to the gods at every inch. Truly a beauty that crosses seas!

Choosing Marian as an ambassador and as the ultimate star of the showcase was an easy decision for Tralinh. She narrates that their connection began when Marian's stylist, Melville Sy, purchased a gown for the actress to wear to her 10th wedding anniversary celebration. "Since then, we've had the honor of accompanying her through many special appearances and red carpet events," Tralinh says.

As a representative of the Vietnamese luxury brand, Marian "embodies the timeless elegance and graceful strength" that Hacchic Couture aims to espouse. "Beyond being one of Asia’s most adored icons," Tralinh shares to Preview, "she represents a woman who balances fame, family, and femininity with effortless poise [as] a living portrait of harmony."

The Lunar Fracture Fashion Show, at its core, is a celebration of beauty found within imperfections. It frames beauty as a resilient and persistent force. "It was conceived as a story told from two perspectives, one from the Moon looking down to Earth, and the other from Earth looking up to the Moon," Tralinh explains. The first editions of the show were recently presented at Kyoto Bridal Week and Shanghai Fashion Week, and were staged to explore themes of "stillness, distance, and cosmic serenity of moonlight" through avant-garde bridalwear.

Back at home base, the second edition—subtitled as "From Earth to Moon"—seeks to represent the other side of the story. "It represents humanity’s longing, love, and courage, and how we reach upward [to seek] harmony even through imperfection," Tralinh muses.

This very thesis led to Marian being chosen as the collection's muse. Her authenticity throughout her career, coupled with her irresistible charisma, reflected the idea of light seeping through the cracks. "She is not only an ambassador of beauty, but of emotional depth and quiet confidence... We are honored to have her as our vedette for this chapter [as she is] a woman whose spirit captures the emotional journey of this [collection]," says Tralinh.

Going into detail, Tralinh spotlights the collection's themes of light rising above. Think luminous silks, hand-beaded constellations, and sculptural corsetry; elements that imply movement and grace to any garment. "These creations are made for women who dare to dream, who find poetry between strength and fragility," the designer expresses.

These codes were best exhibited through Marian's look as she closed the runway. A picture of absolute elegance, the show biz stalwart modeled a pristine beaded frock that cascaded onto a floor-grazing train by the waist. The placements of each bead and applique were nothing short of architectural. Punctuating the look was a bejeweled headpiece rendered in silver tones and flowing into a diaphanous veil. Consider our jaws on the floor!

Prior to the big night, Marian dropped by the Hacchic Couture showroom located at the heart of Ho Chi Minh. To the visit, she greeted local press and her fans in a pink tulle dress worthy of royalty.

At present, Hacchic Couture is exclusively available for viewing at their Ho Chi Minh atelier. If you find yourself in the city, make sure to book a private appointment through their official Instagram account or website. "Each creation is handcrafted with couture precision, and we work directly with clients around the world through virtual fittings and international trunk shows," Tralinh shares.

She also tells Preview that there are plans to expand to the Philippines, possibly by 2027. "Until then, Filipino clients can reach out through our online channels to commission bespoke pieces, tailored specifically for their events or weddings," she says. Their process is extremely collaborative, with every piece carrying their distinct brand of elegance. As she puts it:
