Marian Rivera was every bit of a silver screen siren as she graced the 53rd Box Office Entertainment Awards last Saturday, June 28. A far cry from the disheveled Teacher Emmy that appeared in the Balota movie promos, the primetime queen was a vision of elegance as she added another feather to her cap. To no one's surprise, she was named Film Actress of the Year for her riveting performance in the political thriller.

For this career milestone, she worked with long-time collaborator Melville Sy of Studio.24C on her look—and we got all the details below!

"We rarely do embellishments or beaded gowns for her events or awards. We just wanted to try this look," Melville told Preview, pertaining to a figure-skimming, floor-length gown that boasts a deep sweetheart neckline and intricate beadwork.

It was a special order from Hacchic Couture, a Japanese brand based in Vietnam that specializes in luxurious bridal and evening gowns. Aside from their opulent designs, they also use exclusive materials imported from Japan, France, Italy, and Latvia to ensure top-tier quality. In fact, the company prides itself on being the only brand to work directly with esteemed French lace supplier Dentelle de Calais-Caudry.

It took around one month for the ornate frock to be ready, and Melville shared that there wasn't even any fitting done. "The dress arrived perfectly, and yung embellishments and details nila, maganda talaga," he said, noting the delicate sequin patterns that cascaded down the entire piece.

To balance the embellishments, accessories were kept to a minimum by leaving Marian's décolletage and arms bare. Instead, they opted for classic diamond stud earrings and a sparkly white gold and diamond ring stack to complete her look. A Serpenti Forever Mini Top Handle Bag from Bulgari served as her catch-all for the evening.

The luxe yet simple approach to dressing continued on to her makeup and hair. Emman Magpantay went for a rosy soft glam look, sweeping a flattering rose gold shimmer on Marian's lids, a dainty English rose flush on her cheeks, and a glossy pink lip. Hairstylist Nante Alingasa kept the actress' locks flowing and voluminous with a light tease. It was an elevated natural look that highlighted Marian's features and complemented the dress.
