Which one are you?

Marian Rivera's grand wedding to Dingdong Dantes may have happened just over four years ago, but it's still fresh in our minds! Here, we revisit the pair's lavish, much-talked-about nuptials via Preview Magazine's December 2014-January 2015 cover story. Swathed in all kinds of decadent bridal finery, Marian poses a question: Which of these eight stylish brides are you?

HAUTE COUTURE

Marian gave this look her affirmative, saying that she’ll only be wed once so she’d like to be wearing her dream dress when it happens. As she was settling into a pose that was both dramatic and comfortable, she jested with the team, “Kung may Black Swan, ako na ’yung Silver Swan! [Laughs.]”

THE MINIMALIST

While she likes her outfits neat and put-together, Marian admits that this ensemble is not her style. Emphasizing how weddings are (usually) once-in-a-lifetime events, she believes in going all out. Her stylist, Liz Uy, concurs, posing the question, “When else can a woman wear couture? Your wedding is the perfect time to wear the dress of your dreams.”

THE SMART SUIT

The star laughed, remarking that she’d only wear this look for a photo shoot. One look at her Instagram page and you’ll see how much the then-soon-to-be Mrs. Dantes loves wearing dresses, so seeing her rock a suit for her big day is next to impossible: “Dong would want to see me in a dress, for sure.”

THE REBEL

Everything about this look is just so un-Marian. She has always believed that a bride should wear white, but she’s quick to point out that women who wear red dresses on the day they tie the knot have a reason for going against the grain. “Ire-respeto ko ’yun,” she says.

THE BOHEMIAN

A hashtag Marian uses a lot is #FLORdeYan, used whenever she posts photos of beautiful flowers that catch her eye. The floral touches in this free-spirited look appeal to her flower-loving side: When she sees flowers, she explains that she’s filled with a certain sense of beauty. To put it succinctly in her words, “Nakaka good vibes.”

FILIPINIANA

Did you know that Marian and Dingdong asked everyone attending their wedding to wear outfits made by Filipino designers? Yan wore Michael Cinco on her wedding day, while Francis Libiran made her a dress for her despedida de soltera.

SHORT AND SWEET

There are two good things going for this outfit, in Marian’s opinion: 1) It’s a dress; 2) It reminds her of the always chic Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. But it’s too low-key for this celebrity bride, who prefers to go the traditional route with a gown, veil—the works.

THE ROMANTIC

Next to couture, Marian favors this look. The idea of wearing dreamy lace resonates with her. “Parang true love ang lace—timeless.” She says “romantic” also best describes how she is towards her fiancé. “Sweet naman akong tao.”
