Fashion and food have long been symbiotic entities. You are what you eat, they say—and the same goes for what you wear.
This very ideology became one of the driving forces behind Louis Vuitton's F/W 2025 Menswear collection, which proved to be an opus for creative director Pharrell Williams. As models paraded down the catwalk with standout accessories and renewed iterations of the Speedy, a monogrammed crustacean stole the spotlight.
Meet the Louis Vuitton x Nido Lobster
Pharrell’s tenure at the French maison has, so far, been defined by classic LV codes remixed with street-style aesthetics. There’s a palpable irreverence in his work—an intentional excess that adds something new to the Louis Vuitton DNA. His F/W 2025 offerings deliver just that, with bold prints, contemporary tailoring, and arm candy that can make any stylista drool.
For the collection, Pharrell also collaborated with Nigo, the founder of streetwear giant BAPE, to create a literal lobster decked out in LV’s signature motif. Throughout history, the sea creature has been viewed as a symbol of luxury, often enjoyed by the elite. Louis Vuitton leaned into the campiness of it all by fashioning a bag after the animal, complete with padded claws and leather scales. Beyond a handheld tote modeled after its likeness, the lobster also appeared as a bag charm attached to luggage and duffels.

How Much the Louis Vuitton x Nido Lobster Costs
LV's catch of the day is said to retail for $18,000—just over a million pesos. From the articulated tail to the pearlescent eyes, the piece showcases the brand’s iconic monogram canvas. Measuring 44 cm in length and 10 cm in width, it can allegedly carry a phone, keys, and a cardholder. It comes with a handle for clutching, as well as a strap that turns it into a crossbody. Would you add it to your bag rotation?
Asian Style Stars Wearing the Louis Vuitton Lobster Bag
At once kitsch and a work of genius, the purse has been spotted on a handful of Asia’s most stylish. South Korean DJ Peggy Gou simply had to cop one, especially since one of her hits is aptly titled "Lobster Telephone." Thai heartthrobs Gemini Norawit and BamBam have also fallen for the crustacean.
