It has long been a running joke what Heart Evangelista wears when she's off to do some grocery shopping, specifically to buy corned beef. Remember when she posted an Instagram story of herself wearing a fancy Martin Bautista frock and called it her grocery OOTD? She was actually on her way to an event, but what was meant to be a joke has spawned thousands of Internet memes–in fact, even her dad, Rey Ongpauco, has joined in on the fun, playfully teasing Heart on Instagram. LOL!
Even here at the Preview HQ, we borrowed her now-iconic meme for a grocery-themed editorial, which we shot at Landers Superstore.
That said, it still begs the question: What does Heart Evangelista really wear to the grocery? Well, finally, she's decided to debunk the mystery once and for all! And nope, it's not a Martin Bautista dress or a custom Herve Pierre number. It's also a far cry from her supposed "pambahay" look.

Via her Instagram stories, Heart posted a photo and a short video of herself doing groceries–and yup, she literally stocked up on corned beef. She wore a simple crisp white button-down shirt paired with a navy blue pleated skirt, plus her fave nude wedges and an adorable Aranaz Geo straw bucket bag. Perhaps not as fancy, but still chic as ever!
