Kathryn Bernardo and Atasha Muhlach Rock This P4000 "Sea Slug" Top

The natural world has long been a major source of inspiration for brands and designers. Sometimes, an obscure living organism can inspire a totally unique piece that eventually finds its way into the wardrobes of today's most stylish.

Case in point: Kathryn Bernardo and Atasha Muhlach, two of today's most buzzed-about names, were recently spotted wearing a piece inspired by critters you'd typically find on the ocean floor.

At a promotional event for her upcoming series Someone, Someday, Kathryn kept things casual yet cute in a pink-and-green OOTD. The star of her look was a halter top inspired by a sea slug (yup, you read that right), with organically shaped details and an elongated silhouette. To complement the backless piece, stylist Danae Dipon paired it with structural trousers from Alser and a slew of botanical-inspired jewelry from Golden Monstera. We love an all-Filipino-brands moment!

Atasha wore a variation of the same halter top to her Bongga Ka 'Day press conference. Her version, rendered in shades of blue and white, was fashioned after a different species of sea slug. Her stylists Leanne Ledesma and Jermainne Lagura paired it with baggy brown trousers from Yong Studio as the Gen Z actress wore her long, flowing tresses down.

Both ladies copped their slug-inspired pieces from Wear Peach, an independent Filipino label known for its colorful designs sewn by an all-woman team. Kathryn's pick took cues from the patterns of the Felimare bayeri sea slug, while Atasha's was inspired by the natural markings of the Phyllidia ocellata, also known as the undula sea slug. Both halter tops are made from 100% cotton and linen, making them perfect for seaside excursions or daytime meet-ups in the city.
