Jung Ho Yeon's rise as an actress has reached a new peak. Her piercing portrayal of Kang Sae-byeok in Squid Game has just won her the 2022 Screen Actors Guild award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, besting the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.

In her acceptance speech, she tearfully thanked all of the Hollywood actors present in the room, expressing that they served as her inspiration to pursue her acting career. FYI, Ho Yeon entered the entertainment industry as a successful model first.
Not surprisingly, the 27-year-old's ensemble for the big night was also quite the stunner. As an ambassador of the fashion house, Ho Yeon donned a custom black Louis Vuitton dress for the ceremony. The frock glistened with silver beads and crystals at the bodice, and it featured a buttoned-up detail that ended in a thigh-high slit at the center.

Her jet black locks were then braided with a scarf made of the same material as her gown. The styling was made to look like a daenggi, a traditional South Korean hair ribbon that signifies one's social status. She capped things off with silver earrings and black heels, while looking au naturale and gorgeous in minimal makeup.

Notably, her co-star, Lee Jung Jae, also bagged the male counterpart of the award. With these, Squid Game made history as the first Non-English language drama series to bring home acting accolades at the ceremony.

A big congratulations to you, Ho Yeon, and to the rest of the team behind Squid Game!
