Jessy Mendiola celebrated her 29th birthday with a literal splash! For her big day, she escaped the metro to hit the sandy shores of Boracay. She posed under sunny skies clad in a classic maillot, reminding us of how indispensable a simple one-piece actually is.
Instead of going for a brightly-hued swimsuit OOTD, she opted for black. This lewk is quite the departure from her usual swimsuit picks, (remember that daring nude-colored maillot she wore in Amanpulo?) but it's definitely just as chic. Her stylist, Patty Yap, certainly knows how to put together an understated yet flattering look.
Jessy wore a custom swimmie by Boom Sason, which features a sultry hip-baring cut. She styled it with a paisley print bucket hat from Hermès. Additionally, she spiced up the look with a dainty gold bracelet by Manila Diamond Studio, as well as gold hoops and slender rings. We love how the hat's print adds texture to the look without being distracting. It really is true: Simplicity will never go out of style.
