Denim has long been linked to relaxed, everyday wear, but Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo prove that it can also set the tone for a polished and elevated couple look.
Styled by AJ Alberto, the pair wore custom creations by menswear designer Ziggy Savella. Their coordinated indigo outfits gave the denim-on-denim trend a crisp, tailored update—far from anything overly casual. Marked by sharp silhouettes and clean finishes, the looks offered a fresh, dressed-up approach to couple dressing.
Here’s exactly how the two pulled it off.

Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo’s Denim-on-Denim Outfits by Ziggy Savella
Jennylyn donned a structured mini blazer dress that put a feminine spin on classic suiting. Its construction took cues from its sharp shoulders and crisp, notched lapels. Now reimagined as a feminine frock, the traditionally longline silhouette features a mid-thigh length and is finished with a defined, deep neckline.
Adding an eclectic touch to the formal piece, the double-breasted front is secured with multiple decorative buttons, which appear to be a mix of metallic and embellished studs.
Over in the beauty department, glam was kept effortless and sophisticated. Makeup artist Marben Talanay went in with softly sculpted brows, a matte base, and a neutral lip, while hairstylist Valerie Corpuz gave her voluminous, brushed-out waves to complement the outfit’s cinched proportions.

Dennis, on the other hand, was a dashing gent in a two-piece set, tailored to perfection.
The blazer featured notched lapels trimmed with white piping that continued along the front opening and pocket flaps, adding a subtle contrast to the dark wash fabric. It followed a single-breasted design with a two-button closure and classic flap pockets. The matching trousers, cut with a slight flare, mirrored the jacket’s detailing with white piping running down the side seams. Underneath, he wore a coordinating dark blue button-down shirt that kept the look monochromatic and streamlined.
The suit is complemented by a simple black leather belt and dress shoes, maintaining the understated elegance of the entire look.
