Heart Evangelista, a self-professed shoe girl, recalled a time when she was about four or five years old and put on a pair of her mother's strappy turquoise Escada heels when she wasn't home. She tried to waddle in them, but couldn't manage: The little Heart ended up tumbling down the stairs and hitting her eyelid on a beveled glass table, which cost her seven stitches. "My very dark beginnings with my love for shoes," she said.
Needless to say, the now-36-year-old Heart has totally mastered the art of walking in sky-high heels, which she considers a vital skill. (She stands at 5"2, and said she enjoys feeling tall, like "a Miss Universe" titleholder.) In her latest vlog, she treated her followers to a comprehensive tour of her dreamy shoe closet, which, of course, housed an enviable number of luxe designer steppers!
Despite her famed appetite for high-end offerings, she's also has some pretty down-to-earth picks. In case you didn't know, Heart is a Zara fan, and says she wears the brand quite often—she considers her closet "high-end, low-end", which is cool. She can pull off anything, anyway.
Plus, she's not opposed to shopping pre-loved, either! She shared she once hopped on the Instagram closet sale of Rufa Mae Quinto, and fell in love with her shoe collection. Heart seized the opportunity to cop a pair of sculptural transparent heels and color blocked Gucci wedges. She got the latter for just P5000, which is such a crazy steal, if you ask us.
Rufa even went ahead and gave her some more pairs for free! "Tapos 'yung iba nilibre na lang niya. 'Sige na, okay na, ang ganda.' '3000 lang 'yan, sige na, bigay ko na 'yan.' Ganyan. She's so cute," Heart said.
