Fashion and art fused together in a masterful display last June 6, 2026 at the Cervantes Room of Discovery Primea. Designer Happy Andrada, known for her contemporary Filipiniana creations, once again proved the limitless spring of Filipino creativity with her latest collection, in partnership with Fundacion Sanso.

Together, these two proud pillars of Pinoy artistry brought to life the works of Juvenal Sanso, one of the Philippines’ most celebrated painters.

The program itself was a celebration of Filipino culture with an electrifying opening number by the award-winning global singing group Acapellago. This was then followed by the entrance of Filipino collective and Preview Ball 2025 performers Anima Tierra, whose captivating music filled the room as models walked down the runway.

The Happy Andrada x Sanso collection takes the sensibilities of Sanso’s paintings—poetry, joy, melancholy, celebration, devotion—and transforms them into wearable art pieces. Most featured are barong bibs in varying textures, fabrics, and silhouettes, marked with decorative embroidery that each echoes a Sanso masterpiece.

The bibs, in particular, are made to be gender neutral and designed with a universal fit that reflects Happy’s “belief in fashion as a strong form of self-expression.”

As a way of honoring Juvenal Sanso’s legacy, 50% of each sale from the collection will be donated to the scholarship program of Fundacion Sanso. The initiative seeks to support young Filipino creatives by providing a stipend to select Fine Arts students in schools like Bulacan State University, Far Eastern University Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts, University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts, and FEATI University - School of Fine Arts.

Each piece from this special showcase is a singular creation, and only a select few are still available. Those interested to get their hands on one can send a direct message to the official Instagram page of the Fundacion Sanso Museum Shop.
