We usually only dress from the waist up for virtual hangouts. No one will see the rest of our look anyway, so why bother, right?
Well, turns out, that's just us. Because during our virtual house party for Preview @ 25, actress Glaiza De Castro wowed us with a full-on printed three-piece suit for her moment on the red carpet! Take a look at her outfit below:
Glaiza unfortunately had to log out of the event early for work, but don't worry, she didn't leave without telling us all about this stunning 'fit.
According to the actress, this is her fresh take on the suiting trend. Instead of the usual neutral-colored or pastel pairs, she opted for some polished prints in blue, gray, and green hues to change it up. "Since it's a party, I decided to be adventurous," she tells us. She even showed us the gold pair of heels she would've worn with them!
More importantly, Glaiza's outfit is proudly local as well, created by celebrity stylist and designer Daryl Maat. To be exact, she's wearing a piece from Daryl's Spring/Summer 2018 collection called the Coda Suit.
And just when we thought we couldn't love the fabric on the actress' OOTD more, the story behind the garment made us fall for it that much harder. "The print of the fabric is a kaleidoscopic take of an Edgar Degas painting called Ballet Dancers on the Stage," the designer tells Preview. "I [wanted] to juxtapose the femininity of the subject of the painting to the sleek style of a suit."
