Did you know that Georgina Wilson first appeared in the pages of Preview back in 2005? Below, the It girl shares her most memorable milestones and fave moments with the glossy since the beginning of her fashion career.
On being a Preview Girl
"I love having fun with fashion. I dress for myself and love being involved in everything that has to do with making life more beautiful! I feel like Preview reads my mind."
On her first project with Preview, May 2005
"One of my best friends, Liz Uy, was editorial assistant at the time. She asked me to [model different ways to wear a shirt]. Ronnie Salvacion shot it in his studio in San Lorenzo. Raymond Gutierrez was so proud that he came to watch the whole shoot!"
On her first Preview cover, October 2005
George’s first ever Preview cover was with her then-boyfriend Richard Gutierrez. "When I started modeling, to be on the Preview cover was my ultimate goal! So when it finally happened, I was in shock and couldn't believe it. I remember getting a call from Vince Uy saying Pauline Juan wants me on the cover. I'll never forget that moment!"
On her favorite Preview cover, June 2007
"I love the covers from circa 2006 to 2007 where you could see Preview’s directional change. Off the top of my mind would be Celine Lopez’s cover in a futuristic metallic outfit. Actually, that's my favorite one!"
On the It Girls' Preview cover, June 2012
"It didn't feel like work for a second. It was so much fun and I loved our Balenciaga outfits. That’s also when we shot our YouTube hit, the Call Me Maybe video."
On her #ImAPreviewGirl covers, September 2013
For Preview’s big fashion issue in 2013, George appeared on not just one, not even two, but four stunning covers that represent the #ImAPreviewGirl.
"I actually, oddly enough, can relate to all of them, but the most ‘me’ in terms of aesthetic was definitely the one in the black dress—old Hollywood glamour hair and the perfect red lip!"
