They say two heads are better than one, and when it comes to the mash-ups we've seen in the local fashion scene, we couldn't agree more! In 2025, we saw designers push the ante on creativity and collaborate with retail brands and fellow couturiers to come up with new and exciting drops. From unexpected crossovers to dream partnerships, it was definitely a good year for stocking up our closets.

Ahead, we list down some of the Filipino fashion collabs we were obsessed with in 2025.

The internet was abuzz when it was revealed that sneaker giant Adidas teamed up with Proudrace for its first global collaboration with a Filipino designer. For the landmark drop, Best Filipino Fashion Designers 2024 honoree Rik Rasos channeled nostalgia and infused his raw street sensibilities with the heritage sports brand. The result? Two covetable graphic tees and a limited-edition Jabbar that makes us a very proud race (pun intended.)

For the 30th anniversary of Plains & Prints, the clothing line connected with designers Mark Bumgarner and Vania Romoff for an exclusive capsule collection. Go-to couturiers for special occasions, such as red carpets and weddings, Mark and Vania infused their signature motifs into an elevated everyday wardrobe that was distinctly their own. “From the get-go, we agreed that we just needed to make beautiful clothes. Pieces that can be worn and work for everyone—intentional designs that are versatile and fun,” Vania tells Preview.

HA.MU x Andre Chan

Another fun collaboration we saw this year was between Preview’s Best Filipino Fashion Designers 2023 HA.MU and Creative 25 2024 honoree Andre Chan. A match made in sartorial heaven, the mixed media artist found a canvas in the fashion duo's poplin shirts. "Each piece began as a painted shirt, evolving through lacework, collage, organic stitching, and the play of black, white, and brown," Andre wrote on Instagram. The one-off pieces were bold, quirky, and unapologetic—just like the collaborators.

Ivarluski x Bitagcol

It's not every day that we get access to two sought-after designers in one brick and mortar storefront, but from December 2025 until February 2026, we get exactly that. Apart from sharing a pop-up location in Power Plant Mall, friends and contemporary designers Ivarluski Aseron and Jo Ann Bitagcol also collaborated on highly covetable shirts that incorporated each other's insignia.

Blending their brand's style codes seamlessly, the play on the white boxy top with Ivarluski's stark black trim with zip and Jo Ann's iconic barong print, and the signature Bitagcol contrasting roundneck with Ivarluski's banig motif for the other, feels both refreshing yet fashionably familiar.

Carl Jan Cruz x Univers

Three years after first pairing up, Carl Jan Cruz and multi-brand concept store Univers reunited once again for a capsule collection. This year's drop focused on texture and form, and Volume II did not disappoint. With both industry stalwarts committed to the evolution of craftsmanship and design, textile development was explored while still retaining the design brand's core fabrication.

According to CJ, the collection was their first foray into working with the fine yet robust Japanese denim, and this allowed the pieces to hold shape while remaining soft to the touch. Not just dependent on the materials available, he also noted that refining their in-house techniques enabled them to fashion suiting fabrics into more casual wear, breathing new depth into the collection.

The Laurel Siblings for The Rajo Store

The Laurel siblings may be a tight-knit bunch who work alongside each other, but it was only in 2025 that Venisse Laurel-Hermano and Gela Laurel actually got to design a collection with their brother Rajo Laurel. "The process was both challenging and enlightening,” the Preview 30 Icon shared.

Their different personalities allowed for a range that wove creativity and practicality into Rajo's world of glamour. Venisse, a busy career mother, valued versatility, while makeup artist Gela enthused over the artistry of each piece. This led to flattering, multi-wear pieces that are functional yet stylish.

Human x HA.MU

Debuting in Bench Fashion Week no less, the Human x HA.MU collection propelled the designer duo's quirky and offbeat world to the mainstream market. The ready-to-wear collection reimagines everyday staples by fully embracing HA.MU's vision of maximalism through color contrasts, textured layers, and detailed finishes such as their signature embroidery and patchwork.

Fred Perry x Carl Jan Cruz

The quintessential Fred Perry polo shirt underwent major style transformation through a well-thought-out detail: a collar and buttoned placket in the distinct Carl Jan Cruz Pambahay pique at the back. It was a masterclass in updating a classic with a proudly Filipino modern twist.
