Now, more than ever, women are leading empowered lives. Still, there's no denying that breast cancer remains a serious threat to our health. Doctors estimate that three out of 100 Filipino women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. The disease accounts for 16% of overall cancer cases in the Philippines, after all, and it makes up about 30% of cancer cases among us girls.

It is worth noting that a breast cancer diagnosis is not hopeless! One of the most important factors that may increase a patient’s survival rate is early detection. Having regular check-ups, which could lead to detection of early-stage cancer, improves relative survival by 27% to 47%.

That said, FitFlop is determined to join the fight against breast cancer with the help of its partner, ICanServe Foundation. A breast cancer advocacy group in the Philippines, ICanServe Foundation stresses the importance of early detection and proper awareness about the disease. Together, FitFlop and ICanServe is thrilled to roll out initiatives that will provide women with the necessary know-how and tools to fight breast cancer.
