Lesson #1: Don't be afraid to break the monotony.
While monochrome dressing is fail-proof, it has a tendency to look quite plain. And what better way to break the monotony than to add an exciting pop of color, right? Take note of how Kim Jones wore Pantone's 2018 color of the year, Ultraviolet, via her Balenciaga boots for a more fashion-forward look.
Lesson #2: When in doubt, combine texture with print.
Kim demonstrates the right way to do a play on texture and print. Her faux fur coat teamed with a micro pleated Dion Lee skirt is already interesting on its own, but finished off with a pair of plaid boots? Immaculate.
