Diesel Takes Its Campaigns to Porn Sites "We're not high fashion."

Italian label Diesel is set to advertise its new range of underwear in pornography website PornHub, as well as in dating apps Tinder and Grindr. The brand, helmed by Nicola Formichetti, is known for its provocative statements and controversial choices, so this move actually sits well with Diesel’s image.

According to International Business Times, none of the photos that will be used for the campaign will feature models’ faces. In fact, Joe Jonas, who currently stars in Diesel’s Spring 2016 ads, won’t be part of it either .

In an interview with i-D, Nicola stressed that the rationale behind the campaign was not to promote porn, but to go where the most users are. “Tinder, Grindr and Pornhub might appear a little left field but it's Diesel—we can do it. We're not scared of these places. We're not high fashion; we are street,” he said.

With Diesel making the first step into pornography, we’re curious to see if other mainstream brands will follow suit and take this unconventional route.
