Charlene Gonzalez-Muhlach was the picture of elegance as she graced the halls of The Peninsula Manila for the much-anticipated Red Charity Gala 2023. Following a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the prestigious event made a grand comeback on October 8, 2023.
Swathed in a bespoke Rajo Laurel, Charlene was a vision in black in her chic column dress that boasts of power shoulders and a draped cape. Her stylist, Leanne Ledesma of Qurator Studio, finished off her look with red pointy-toed pumps, a sparkly black minaudière, and earrings from Tiffany & Co. to complement her dark locks that were neatly gathered in a low bun.
"My gorgeous friend [and] beautiful muse. Makes a strong statement in minimal asymmetry," Rajo captions his Instagram post. As always, the seasoned designer's meticulous craftsmanship was evident, achieving a delicate balance of fluid lines and sculptural finesse. Define regal!
Started in 2009 by Tessa Prieto and Kaye Tinga, the gala combined fashion and philanthropy in support of The Philippine Red Cross and the Assumption HS81 Foundation, among others.
This event has a history of showcasing the best of Filipino fashion, featuring designers like Rajo Laurel, Joey Samson, Chito Vijandre, and more. This year, the spotlight was on Ivarluski Aseron.
