Leave it to Catriona Gray to represent our indigenous fabrics abroad!
The reigning Miss Universe stepped out on the streets of the Big Apple on Labor Day in the US, sporting none other than a piece handcrafted by our local artisans. Catriona wore a cropped red jacket featuring Yakan cloth from the Yakan tribe in Basilan and Zamboanga in Mindanao as well as fringed edges.
The jacket, called the Buko Jacket, is from P Nay, a clothing brand that produces everyday contemporary wear from handwoven and indigenous fabrics. For a street-ready OOTD, Cat paired the top with cropped blue jeans, white sneakers, and a black rucksack from Tumi. So cute!
