Atasha Muhlach Brings a Fluid Take on Deconstructed Fashion to the Preview Ball 2026
The Preview Best Dressed honoree wore a sheer, layered look by Kelvin Morales, finished with Bvlgari jewelry.

Atasha Muhlach brought her own take on deconstructed fashion to the Preview Ball 2026. A member of this year’s Preview Best Dressed List, the Bongga Ka ’Day actress arrived at the Marriott Manila at Newport World Resorts in a look that played with transparency and layers while keeping her signature feminine style in place.

For the evening, she wore a look by Kelvin Morales, a Preview Best Filipino Fashion Designer honoree for 2025. The translucent, floor-length dress featured loose panels flowing from the sides and back. Underneath, a pale cropped top and short trousers gave the sheer outer layer some definition, while the gauzy fabric kept the silhouette light. Bvlgari jewelry added a polished touch to the soft, airy look.
Her stylist, Leanne Ledesma of Qurator Studio, tells Preview that the team wanted to interpret the theme with a refined approach. “We wanted to interpret the deconstructed theme in a way that still felt refined and feminine, without making it feel too raw or overly conceptual.”
Kelvin’s design was inspired by the idea of an aura, or the invisible energy surrounding the body. He translated this through the translucent removable panels, which are hand-guided embroidered to give the fabric a more organic, artisanal quality.
“As Atasha walks, the panels naturally flow and slightly open up, revealing the layers underneath and creating more depth and movement to that idea of an aura,” Leanne says.
The soft silhouette and delicate layers keep the outfit feminine, while the construction gives it a sharper fashion angle.
“From a styling perspective, we feel like this look really complements Atasha’s style because it’s feminine and effortless but with a more directional edge,” Leanne says. “The sheer layers and soft silhouette feel delicate and refined, while the deconstructed elements give it something unexpected and modern. It still feels very much like her, young, chic and elegant, but with a stronger fashion point of view.”
