Apink recently visited the Philippines for a heartwarming show at the University of the Philippines Theater—their first ever solo concert in the country since their debut 15 years ago. It was the last stop of the K-pop girl group’s The Origin: Apink tour, and their supporters were sure to wrap it up with unmatchable energy.
The members also had the time to briefly explore the city. In true maknae fashion, Oh Hayoung made the hearts of Philippine “Pandas” melt as she explored Cubao’s Farmers Market—one of the oldest and largest fresh produce markets in the country—wearing a Filipino household staple.
Oh Hayoung Shops at Farmers Market Wearing a Duster
On her Instagram, Hayoung expressed her gratitude for the successful tour and accompanied it with photos from Cubao. A vibrant yellow duster was her dress of choice, with a pattern that flaunts tropical flora. The piece has become a Filipino staple for its ability to help beat the heat comfortably.

To take the duster from pambahay to pang-alis, Hayoung tapped into the casual South Korean style of pairing soft and flowy dresses with athletic elements. She teamed the duster with a baseball cap, sneakers, and of course, a sporty sling bag from her collection with Myshell.
She walked around the city with her purchases stored inside white and blue sando bags—marking a complete trip to the wet market.
Netizens React to Oh Hayoung Sporting a Duster
With Hayoung wearing a duster in the wet market, many of the group’s supporters recognized that she really lived like a local for the short time they were in the Philippines. True Pinoy humor showed with some fans assigning her chores through X.
They also felt like Hayoung elevates the aesthetic appeal of any room she walks into, including the wet market. With her take on the duster, Filipino fans appreciated the piece more and are wanting to buy for themselves.
It turns out the Hayoung wore the duster on stage, too, when Philippine Pandas joined them for a soundcheck!
What Is a Duster?
For many Filipinos, the duster is instantly recognizable. The loose, breathable housedress has long been a fixture in local households, often worn by moms, lolas, and titas while doing errands, heading to the palengke, or simply staying comfortable in the country’s tropical heat.
Traditionally considered “pambahay,” the duster has always been more about practicality than fashion. But over the years, it has also evolved into a uniquely Filipino cultural marker—one tied to everyday life, domesticity, and a very specific kind of local nostalgia.
Would you sport a duster outside your home like Hayoung?
