She took to Instagram on August 28 to break the news, posting an immaculate photo of herself cradling her baby bump. We're absolutely in love with everything about this picture—her terno gown is flawless, and those silver drop earrings are just so regal. So, so stunning!
If you think you've seen this gown on her before, you're totally right! You'll recall that Alaiza represented Davao City during the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant, where she placed in the Top 16. For the finale evening gown portion, she dazzled in an identical white terno gown by designer Jo Rubio! It featured the distinctive butterfly sleeves, an elegant, straight neckline, and a pitch-perfect mermaid cut.
This confident, iconic look placed her among the pageant's fan favorites for obvious reasons. We won't be forgetting it any time soon, either.
As you might have guessed, Jo was also behind this gorgeous maternity shoot gown. In her caption, Alaiza made sure to honor the designer for the beautiful gowns he made for her. "Sir Jo, sobrang ganda at sobrang espesyal ng ternong ginawa mo para sakin. I will be forever grateful for you," she wrote.
