Shane Dawson just uploaded the first part of The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star yesterday, October 2. The hour-long video is the YouTuber's latest docu-series, and it has already garnered 5.7 million views nine hours since it's been published. The much-awaited series is the second part of his collaboration with fellow vlogger Jeffree Star and was initially meant as an inside look into YouTube's beauty community—but based on the trailer they released one week prior to this, it seems it has progressed into more than that.
The series will feature nine episodes, expected to be one hour or more each, and is the follow-up for the duo's first successful series titled The Secret World of Jeffree Star, which chronicled how the beauty mogul started his beauty empire from the ground up and was a deep-dive look at the daily life of the polarizing figure. The five-part story ended up garnering a total of 150 million views, averaging at 20 million views per episode.
Shane, who's been been making YouTube videos for over a decade, has been hard at work with his trusty video editor Andrew Siwicki for almost a year now to complete this latest installation.
The first minutes of the video sees a recap of the duo's first collab together, where they spontaneously decided to do a makeup line under Jeffree's brand, Jeffree Star Cosmetics. It then progresses to private jets, fan meets, and a sit-down talk between the two.
