The year 2026 marks the 25th Winter Olympics, which is hosted by Milan and Cortina—the first Olympic games officially co-presented by two cities. This year's theme is Armonia, the Italian word for harmony.
Its recent opening ceremony included performances from Mariah Carey and Andrea Bocelli. Also, a touching tribute took place for the late Italian fashion designer and legend Giorgio Armani, who passed last September 4, 2025 at 91 years old.

When he was still living, Giorgio Armani championed Italian athletes. In fact, EA7 Emporio Armani is the official outfitter of Team Italy at this year's games. "Working for and with Italian athletes is always a pleasure and a source of great pride," he once said.
For the tribute, 60 models wearing red, white, and green Armani pieces walked in three straight lines and created the Italian flag. Leading the tribute and bearing the flag was Vittoria Ceretti, who was wearing a custom white Armani Privé gown.
After the flag was presented, the singing of Italy's national anthem (Il Canto degli Italiani) followed, which was led by Italian singer and songwriter Laura Pausini.
