For many travelers, planning a trip starts with one anxiety-inducing question: Do I need a visa? In the Philippines’ case, the answer is often no. Thanks to long-standing bilateral agreements and updated tourism policies, citizens of more than 100 countries can enter the Philippines visa-free—making island-hopping, food trips, and beach stays far easier to plan than most people expect.

Nationals of certain countries are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for pleasure or business purposes for a period of stay of 59 days, 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, or less, depending on their nationality and existing agreements. These privileges fall under Executive Order 408 s. 1960, with additional provisions for specific passport holders and returning Filipinos.

Here’s how it breaks down, and which countries fall under each region.

Before You Fly

While visa-free entry simplifies travel, standard requirements still apply. Travelers should be prepared to show a passport valid for at least six months, proof of onward or return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. Visa-free stays are generally non-extendible unless otherwise specified.

If you’re planning a trip, it’s always best to double-check the maximum length of stay for your nationality before booking—especially as policies continue to evolve.
