If you’re thinking of using your credit card perks to chill like a VIP on your next flight, then you might want to recalibrate those plans. PAGSS, “the leading ground handling company in the Philippines,” has revoked access to its premium lounge at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Terminal 3 via lifestyle rewards and credit card programs.

You might be wondering why this is happening and if it’s a permanent thing. We hope not, right? Learn more about this new policy below.

Fret not because this isn’t forever. The PAGSS lounge is simply under renovation, which is why they had to temporarily move to a new location in the fourth floor of the terminal. While they still offer the same amenities, their current space is a lot smaller and can therefore accommodate fewer people.

As a result only business class passengers flying with their partner airlines, like Japan Airlines, EVA Air, Emirates, ANA, Etihad Airways and more can use the lounge free of charge. Those who still want to wait for their flights in comfort can still to do so, but entry to the lounge will cost you quite the fee of $50 or P3,000.

Credit card companies like Banco de Oro and Metrobank have already informed their clients of this temporary change. According to their memos, lounge access was discontinued last May 1, 2025 for “rehabilitation works.”

The bad news is it’s yet to be clarified when the renovation will end, so card holders will just have to wait patiently until then. Don’t worry too much, though, because the good news remains: PAGSS Premium Lounge is still accessible via credit card and lifestyle rewards perks at NAIA Terminal 1, Clark International Airport, Davao International Airport, and Puerto Princesa International Airport.

PAGSS passenger lounges across the country provide premium comfort to fliers buying time until their flights. According to their website, they “provide a modern and cozy ambiance for  passengers, with designated sections for dining and drinking, reading or working, private discussions, or simply relaxing. Our food and beverage selection includes a variety of Asian and continental dishes, catering to a diverse passenger profile.”
