Most travel sites recommend for tourists to visit the famed Notre Dame Cathedral before immersing yourself into its vibrant night life, depending on which part of the city you're in. Where District 1 is teeming with rooftop bars and casinos, District 3, on the other hand, is ideal for backpackers looking for a satisfying and cheap food crawl 'round the city streets. Not bad for a potential travel destination to consider.
