Pageant season is here and now! And if you’re like us who celebrate the many faces of Filipina beauty and champion Filipino fashion, you’ll agree that beauty pageants shine the light on local beauty talent as much as the international fashion and entertainment scenes. Of course, it helps, too, that the country has been performing up to par in these annual contests—Miss World 2013 Megan Young and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach come to mind—making pageant watching both enjoyable and Pinoy pride-inducing.
In case you’ve missed out on some of the recently-concluded ones, it’s not too late to catch up! Here’s a recap of how some of our Filipina beauty queens have performed so far and a list of forthcoming competitions worth the stream or TV time.
