Shuvee Etrata on why she doesn’t buy luxury items
According to Shuvee, she’s not the type to collect luxury pieces or clothing. "Yun yung hindi ako nasasayahan, magbili ng mga heels-heels," she told media last August 18. With her priorities focused on other expenses, Shuvee admitted that she’s perfectly content with wearing heels worth P1,500. "Ngayon talaga, medyo mabigat sa akin pag bumibili ng P50K or more than [na damit].

These days, her investments go to land procurement. In fact, she recently bought two properties in Cebu and South Cotabato where houses for her siblings and her family are currently being built. "That's a prio po talaga so yun yung…pinakaunang endorsement na magbabayad, dun agad siya mapupunta."
A few weeks later, the actress once again spoke about the importance of handling money smartly during interviews for the hygiene brand Femme. Her biggest advice to fans is to “be practical on your finances.” She elaborated that she keeps this mindset so she can ensure a secure future for herself, before also doubling down on the conviction that you don’t need to buy expensive things.

“If it makes you happy, then go for it. But I am after practicality. With the younger generations, I just want to share that it is really important to be practical with your decisions,” said Shuvee. “Being practical is not only in finances, but also in your decisions in life. Think 10 times, a thousand even, before you actually decide on something.”
With this, Shuvee warned against falling under the influence of social media where people are driven to feel like they need to get the next “It” thing their favorite influencer has. “It’s your choice that is going to make the difference,” she said, encouraging fans to love themselves and to be more independent.
