It almost seems too obvious to say Hello Kitty has been everywhere in the past couple of years—from locally made leather bags, to phone cases, to makeup. Not hard to see why, though. The 46-year-old Sanrio character has become well-known around the world since making her debut on a vinyl coin purse designed by Yuko Shimizu, and while she’s the most widely recognizable, Hello Kitty has got plenty of friends with their own sets of fans. In fact, ask anyone who grew up in the '80s and '90s and you’re likely to find yourself in the middle of a fun, possibly heated discussion about which Sanrio character they like best. Whoever your favorite character is, you’ll probably want to hear this: Hong Kong-based The Coop Idea is producing their Beans+ wireless earbuds in four designs featuring beloved Sanrio characters Hello Kitty, My Melody, the Little Twin Stars, and Marumofubiyori.
Beans True Wireless Earbuds are known for their ergonomic design and high-quality audio; they’re also lightweight and water-resistant, with an IPX4 waterproofing rating. Each of the Sanrio-themed earbuds comes with interchangeable magnetized covers and its own charging case. The Hello Kitty buds are predominantly white, with yellow and red tulips lining either side of the magnetized cover. The My Melody earbuds sport a bright, cheery red, their magnetized cover accented with pastel-pink polka dots. The Little Twin Stars come in their signature pale blue and pink, and the Marumofubiyori earbuds are dotted with baby blue.
